# Overview

> The first page of the dashboard: the four headline figures, the trend, the strongest competitors, the breakdowns, the cited domains and the latest answers.

The Overview shows how this brand does in the AI answers, in one screen. Every figure counts analysed answers. [Visibility](/reference/metrics/visibility) says how, and [Filters](/reference/filters) says what each filter changes.

## Two windows on one page

The Overview reads two windows. Both end on the newest day with analysed answers, not on today.

| Part of the page | Window |
| ------------------------------------------------------------------ | ------------------------------------------------ |
| The four tiles, Top competitors, Top cited domains, Recent answers | The last 7 days, whatever the period filter says |
| The trend chart, the breakdowns | The period that the filter picks |

The header states the tiles' window and the number of analysed answers in it.

## The four tiles

| Tile | Figure | The line under it |
| --------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| [Visibility Score](/reference/metrics/visibility) | Answers that name this brand, out of the analysed answers | The change in points against the 7 days before. Before a first comparison, "N of M answers" |
| [Share of Voice](/reference/metrics/share-of-voice) | This brand's mentions, out of every monitored brand's mentions | "of N monitored brands", and how many answers name any of them |
| [Sentiment](/reference/metrics/sentiment) | The positive share of this brand's labelled mentions | The three shares as a bar, and the number of labelled mentions |
| [Recommendation](/reference/metrics/recommendation) | The recommended share of this brand's labelled mentions | The three shares as a bar |

The (i) beside each tile states its definition in the same words as its manual page.

## When the filters leave no answer

A figure needs analysed answers. When the filters leave none, the Overview shows one card instead of the tiles, and states no figure. When [branded prompts](/reference/filters#branded-prompts) hold answers in that scope, the card says how many there are, and **Include branded prompts** shows them.

## The trend

The chart draws one metric per day: visibility, share of voice or sentiment. It shows this brand and its 4 strongest competitors by visibility over the tiles' window.

* A day's value is noisy, because each prompt runs once a day on each platform. Read the line over several days.
* Marks on the line show the day an [Action](/reference/actions) was marked done, and the day it went live.
* A note under the chart says how many days of the period have answers so far, and when the first comparison arrives.

## Top competitors

A table of this brand and the strongest monitored competitors, with visibility and its change, share of voice and the positive share of sentiment. Hover over a sentiment figure for its three shares. The table reads the tiles' window. The [Competitors](/reference/competitors) page lists every monitored brand, over the period.

## The breakdowns

The breakdown splits the period by market, by persona or by topic. It shows when the project has more than one market, or at least one persona or topic.

| Column | What it counts |
| -------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Prompts | The active prompts in the row, under the same filters as its answers |
| Visibility | Answers that name this brand, out of the row's analysed answers, as a whole percent |
| Names a brand | Answers that name this brand or any monitored competitor, out of the same answers |
| Answers | The row's analysed answers |
| Last collected | The newest day with an answer |

Each breakdown ignores its own filter, because it is the comparison. "Names a brand" tells two low visibilities apart. When few answers name any brand, nobody wins the question yet. When most name a brand but not this one, the rivals win it. [Markets and languages](/reference/markets-and-languages#reading-markets-side-by-side) says how to read two markets side by side.

## Top cited domains

The domains that the answers cite most, with their citations and their share of all citations. A citation is one cited page in one answer. This brand's own domain always shows, with its rank or "not cited". The [Sources](/reference/sources) page lists every cited domain.

## Recent answers

The newest analysed answers, each marked **Mentioned** or **Absent** for this brand. A row opens [the answer](/reference/answer-view).

## Before the first results

Until the first answers are analysed, the dashboard shows "Your first results are on their way", with the prompts, platforms and markets it will collect. [Get started](/guides/get-started#the-first-results) says what happens then.
