# Filters

> The filter bar above the dashboard pages, and what each filter changes on each page.

The filter bar sits above every page that reads the collected answers. A filter narrows the answers that a page counts. It never changes what FullReach AI collects.

## The filters

| Filter | What it keeps |
| ---------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Period | The last 7, 30 or 90 days, or a custom number of days. The period ends on the newest day with analysed answers, not on today |
| Platform | The answers from one platform |
| Market | The prompts of one market. See [Markets and languages](/reference/markets-and-languages) |
| Persona | The prompts of one [persona](/reference/personas), or the prompts with none. It shows once the project has a persona |
| Topic | The prompts of one [topic](/reference/topics), or the prompts with none. It shows once the project has a topic |
| Competitor | This brand and one monitored competitor. See [The competitor filter](#the-competitor-filter) |
| Branded | Non-branded prompts, branded prompts, or both. It shows once a prompt names this brand. See [Branded prompts](#branded-prompts) |
| Prompt | The answers to one prompt |

**Reset** clears every filter and sets the period back to the last 7 days. A switch to another project clears every filter but the period.

## Branded prompts

A branded prompt is a prompt whose wording names this brand, by its name or one of its other spellings. The match is the same as in the answers. "Is Acme good for agencies?" is branded for a brand named Acme.

An answer to a branded prompt names the brand because the question did. So every figure leaves branded prompts out by default. The branded filter shows them on their own, or together with the rest. A prompt filter on a branded prompt shows that prompt's answers whatever the branded filter says.

Adding a spelling to this brand can make a prompt branded. The Prompts page marks each branded prompt. Under the default, its header says how many branded prompts the filter leaves out.

## The competitor filter

The competitor filter makes this brand and one rival the whole market. It changes:

* **Share of voice.** The denominator counts the two brands only. See [Share of voice](/reference/metrics/share-of-voice#the-competitor-filter).
* **The brand lists.** The Overview and the Competitors page show the two brands. On the Products page, the brand shares, the rank and the product lists keep the two brands' cards. On the Searches page, the brand marks and the "Brands in the searches" panel keep the two brands.

It does not change which answers a page counts. Visibility, sentiment, recommendation, the Prompts page, the Sources page and Own Pages stay the same.

## Where each filter applies

| Page | Filters that apply |
| ------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Overview, Competitors, Searches | Every filter |
| Prompts, Sources, Own Pages | Every filter but the competitor filter |
| Products | Every filter but the platform filter, because only some platforms show product cards |
| Prompt History | Period, platform and market |
| Perception | Period and platform. Perception asks its own questions, so the other filters do not apply. The page says so when one is set |
| Actions | No filter bar. The worklist is built once after each collection, over a fixed window |
| AI Visits, Crawler Visits | No filter bar. Each page has its own window, because it reads this brand's own site data |
| Monthly Report | No filter bar. The report has its own month and market pickers |
| Crawlability, Settings | No filter bar |

The Overview tiles always read the last 7 days, whatever the period, as [Visibility](/reference/metrics/visibility#window) says. The trend chart and the breakdown read the whole period.
